It was nothing but faith the size of a mustard seed that contributed to my matriculation on ‘The Highest of 7 Hills.’ My journey at Florida A&M University was not easy by any means, but with difficulty and struggle comes progression and growth. I have been able to let my actions determine my value and gain in-depth industry experience through my work at the FAMU School of Journalism and Graphic Communication.

Aleya Bradley is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Florida A&M University and has a passion for guiding the next generation of journalists. She is no stranger to FAMU or the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication, as she is a Fall 2018 graduate of the program.

While at FAMU, she served as a producer for News 20, a radio personality on WANM 90.5, the news editor for the FAMUAN, and a writer for Journey Magazine, as well as other freelance opportunities. She has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from FAMU, a master’s degree in new media journalism from Full Sail University and she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. She has worked as a producer for WTXL ABC 27, where she helped train incoming producers and gained lifelong experience that has shaped her into the producer and educator she is today.

Aleya has found her life’s purpose through journalism. She found the courage to step outside of her comfort zone and tell the hard-hitting stories of her community. She has helped others’ voices be heard through the stroke of a pen and brought a fresh perspective to the media outlets around campus and the community.
