Dr. Aleya Bradley is an Instructor at Bethune-Cookman (BCU) University and has a passion for guiding the next generation of journalists. She currently serves as the Faculty Advisor for the BCU Chapter of the Broadcast Education Association; she serves as the acting 'News Director' for BCU's student-run WM&G TV along with teaching a 5/5 load and serving on multiple faculty committees.

Dr. Bradley also worked as a Visiting Assistant professor at Florida A&M University where she taught multiple classes such as: Announcing, Intro to Mass Media, Intro to Journalism and Reporting & Writing I, II & III. She also served as 1/2 advisors for the FAMU Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists; along with overseeing the student-run newscast put on by FAMU TV 20, which broadcasted live, tri-weekly to more than 80,000 homes in the Big Bend area.

During her undergraduate years at FAMU, she served as a producer for News 20, a radio personality on WANM 90.5, the lead news editor for the FAMUAN, and a writer for Journey Magazine, as well as other freelance opportunities. She has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from FAMU, a master’s degree in new media journalism from Full Sail University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. She has worked as a producer for WTXL ABC 27, where she helped train incoming producers, broke news across North Florida and South Georgia and gained lifelong experience that has shaped her into the producer and educator she is today.

Aleya has found her life’s purpose through journalism. She found the courage to step outside of her comfort zone and tell the hard-hitting stories of her community. She has helped others’ voices be heard through the stroke of a pen and brought a fresh perspective to the media outlets around campus and the community.
